Kaizen Africa is headed by a Board of Directors which comprises of the following people:
Tito is an organizational development and legal empowerment specialist, with over fifteen years professional experience working with Law Societies, private sector entities and Civil Society Organizations at national and regional levels across East Africa.
Tito joined Kaizen Africa BoD in 2018.
Tito has a bachelors in law and a Masters in Development studies
David works as the Director of Ombudsman Affairs at Inspectorate of Government. David believes in Kaizen Africa and has been a director since 2013.
David has a bachelors in law and a Masters in Law.
Frank Magoba is business improvement professional working in infrastructure development. He studied and worked in the US for DELL/EMC for 5 years. Since 2010, he has been working as a CEO of Kaizen Africa a consultancy company in infrastructure development, operational/service excellence and contract management.
Frank has been on the BoD since 2010.
David is a governance with vast experience in leading and transforming organisations. David was appointed to the BoD of Kaizen Africa in 2018. David has a BA in Sociology and an MA in Demography and Population studies.
Frank Magoba is the founder and CEO of Kaizen Africa. He has over 18 years experience with a background in Engineering and Operational Excellence. He possesses an MBA and BSc in Electrical Engineering. Frank is responsible for translating Kaizen Africa’s vision into operations.
Judith Tusiime is the Financial Controller at Kaizen Africa. She has over five years experience with a background in Accounting and Finance. She possesses a Bachelors in Commerce and she is responsible for keeping Kaizen as a financially stable company with proper financial record keeping.
Simon is competent engineer with experience in feasibility studies. Simon is great at conceptualizing business pain points and translating crafting avenues for solutions. Simon has a BSc in Electrical Engineering and strong expertise in Power Systems.

Charles has over 20 years experience as an energy economist. Charles has an M.Sc. in National Development and Project Planning from University of Bradford, United Kingdom and BSc. Economics. Charles has worked in the Ministry of Planning and economic development, Uganda Electricity Board and the Electricity Regulatory Authority. He currently works as a senior consultant with Kaizen Africa.
Dr. Charles Koojo is an environmental expert and senior physical planner with over 25 years experience. Dr. Koojo has participated in the identification, appraisal, management, implementation, coordination and evaluation of development programs and projects primarily in Africa. His multi-disciplinary experience embraces development policy analysis; donor aid coordination, planning and programming; institution-building; governance and decentralization strategies; human resource development; post-conflict reconstruction and transition from relief to development; social capital and enterprise development and the links among such issues as poverty, gender equity, climate change and environmental sustainability.
Ms Nalwoga has over ten years of experience in Power Systems Design, Analysis, Maintenance and Operations. She has worked for Kasese Cobalt Company Ltd, UEB, UEDCL and UMEME where she served as District Engineer for Natete, Lugazi, Banda and Kabalagala Districts.
She also has extensive knowledge of the power system of Uganda and has extensive training in the safe operation of high voltage systems. She is conversant with the Microsoft Office Package, AutoCAD and Retic Master Electrical Power System Software for system optimization.
Mr. Dison Okumu is an expert in strategic planning with over 35 years of experience. Mr. Okumu has a BSc. Statistics from Makerere University and MSc. in Statistics from University of London. He has worked in developing strategic plans, corporates for a number of organization in the region including the Parliament of Uganda, Uganda Electricity Board and Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited.
Joseph is an experienced power systems engineer with over 30 years experience. Joseph has an MSc in Electrical Engineering from Donetsk Polytechnic Institute in Russia. Joseph has worked extensively in Uganda Power Sector starting with Uganda Electricity Board and later Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited. His expertise ranges planning and construction of transmission and distribution systems.
Pamela is a social development expert with over 15 years experience. Pamela possesses a BA in Environmental Management and MSc. Development Management from Agder University College-Norway. Her competences are in Social Impact Assessment, Establishing baseline socio-economic conditions, Environmental Impact Assessment, Waste Management, Resettlement Action Plan (RAP), Hydropower, GIS and Solid waste.
Eng. Leonard Kassana has over 2 decades experience in Energy Generation and Transmission Planning, Development & Management. He has accrued over years necessary skills and experience on Dam Design and Construction management emanating from design and supervisory roles for large dams in Tanzania and many more dams for numerous hydropower projects in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Malawi.
Matthew is a Skilled Data & Systems Analyst, and IT Project Manager with 10+ years’ work experience, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a strong work ethic. Proficient in IT Project Management, Programming and Systems Development, Data Structures, Data Management and Reporting, Database Administration and Monitoring and Evaluation. Additional core expertise includes: Systems Audit, User Support, Programming (VBA, C#, ASP.NET, TSQL, MS Access and MS SQL), SAP Business Objects, MS Project and MS Visio.
Arthur possesses a BSc. in Civil Engineering with over 18 years’ experience in Civil and Structural Engineering design, Feasibility Studies, Construction Supervision and Management of projects, Structural surveys and appraisals, Highway design and supervision, Ground Investigations, Tender Documentation, Bid Analysis, Project Administrationg (VBA, C#, ASP.NET, TSQL, MS Access and MS SQL), SAP Business Objects, MS Project and MS Visio.
Engineer Andrew is an infrastructure monitoring and evaluation expert with over 18 years experience. Andrew has an BSc. Civil Engineering and MSc. in Construction Management from Makerere University. He is a member of the International Development Evaluations Association.
Ms. Hellen Judith Icumar has over 15 years experience in development communication, corporate branding and public relations. She has experience with production of documentaries having produced some for the Agribusiness Development Component of the DANIDA Agricultural Sector Programme (ASPS II). She has designed messages for the print media, broadcast both radio and television in addition to maintaining the programme website.
